ATworkshops provides CEU-based continuing education opportunities for SLP's, Special Educators, OT's, PT's, and other professionals interested in assistive technology and special needs.  Workshops are offered as contracted workshops to school districts and other agencies throughout the United States as well as open-enrollment workshops sponsored by ATworkshops itself.  Contact ATworkshops for a to-the-penny workshop quote for your school district or agency.

IntelliTools Classroom Suite Version 4 (ICS4): Communication and Early Learning – A Lab-Based Workshop

ASHA Note: This program is offered for 1.3 CEUs, Intermediate Level; Professional Area. This lab-based workshop provides 13.0 professional development hours for teachers and other professionals. Please check with your school district for acceptance of these continuing education hours.

Target Audience: Space is very limited, please register early! A minimum of 25 is required and a maximum of 40 is permitted. SLP’s, Special Educators, OT’s, PT’s, other professionals, and parents interested in assistive technology.

Presenter: Kenneth P. Whitley, MA, CCC-Sp.– President ATWorkshops, Inc. & Key Technologies, Inc. Ken Whitley is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 33 years experience, predominantly in the fields of assistive technology (particularly augmentative communication, computer access, special needs software, and simple environmental control) and literacy intervention with struggling readers and writers. His clinical experience includes work as an SLP in the public schools and a residential center for developmentally delayed persons, as well a consultant in assistive technology. Mr. Whitley has provided over 285 workshops and presentations during his career.

Description: IntelliTools Classroom Suite Version 4 (ICS4) is changing how special needs students are taught! Featuring Creativity, Reading/Writing and Math tools it also includes a classroom management tool which simplifies student customizations, provides the ability to assign activities/quizzes, and more!  This is a practical two-day, lab-based workshop which will examine ICS4 and many of its capabilities.  Participants will have ample time, with instruction and support, to create from scratch a number of custom activities covering early learning, language development, augmentative communication, emerging literacy, and early math.
