AT Success Stories

SCATP is looking for more Success Stories that focus on South Carolinians who have used assistive technology successfully in school, at work, at home, or anywhere else. We want to know what specific assistive technology is being used. We want to know your challenges in acquiring and using assistive technology and how you overcame these barriers. Parents can write on behalf of their children, service providers on behalf of their clients, or you can write about yourself. We would love to have a picture or two. We do stress that the stories need to focus on assistive technology and how it empowers people.

Please send your story to Carol Page at Carol.Page@uscmed.sc.edu.

Helping Patty's mother

"Thanks, everyone, so much for all the help with mama and her wheelchair. She is thrilled to have it. She went around showing it to all her neighbors in her building and she is looking forward to have a little bit of freedom since she can no longer drive. We really appreciate all of the effort that went into getting this for her."
