South Carolina Assistive Technology Program (SCATP)

About Us

Our mission is to enhance the independence, productivity and quality of life for all South Carolinians.

We provide a variety of comprehensive activities and services statewide.

Our services are open to South Carolinians of all ages, disabilities and income levels.

Our services are available statewide through our toll-free number, accessible website, publications in accessible formats on topics related to assistive technology and statewide presentations and events.

SCATP is funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living (ACL).

We are located at Midlands Center, 8301 Farrow Road, Poplar Building, Columbia SC, with the Center for Disability Resources in the School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics.

Staff

Our staff includes professionals with expertise in assistive technology and disabilities. We help people find assistive technology for all areas of their lives, with emphasis on education, employment, information technology, telecommunication and community living.
