We collect new and gently used medical equipment and distribute it to those in need.
SCATP Has Two Ways to Help You Get the Assistive Technology You Need
South Carolina Assistive Technology Exchange
The South Carolina Assistive Technology Exchange is a free online reuse database that helps individuals connect with each other to find, give away or sell used equipment. On the database you can list items you need or are looking to sell or give away.
Any individual, agency representative or family member can participate in the exchange. Visit SC Assistive Technology Exchange to view items and register to participate. If you need help, call us at (803) 935-5273 for assistance.
SCATP Reuse Service
The SCATP Reuse Service can help individuals acquire used AT, including durable medical equipment, for free. Call (803) 935-5273 or email Alli Upchurch to see if we have what you are looking for and to donate used equipment.
If we don’t have what you need, we can add you to our waiting list and contact you if an item becomes available.

Not everyone who needs assistive technology will be able to get funding from private insurance, federal, state or local sources. Others may not want to invest in a new device if they will only need it for a short time. When you donate you are helping others who might not be able to get the equipment they need any other way.
To donate, please call (803) 935-5273 and make an appointment to drop off your donations at the SCATP Warehouse. If you are unable to come to our facility, we can pick up the equipment from you.
